STEEL PRESS RELOCATION

Horizontal and vertical material handling.This steel press (120 mt + another of 60 mt) was loaded in Chicago and shipped by barge down to Houston, and the second one by rail to New Orleans. Cargo was loaded on board of a regular liner vessel  to Antwerp.  From there it went to French Ardennes (in  088 region) under very challenging road circumstances. The 120 mt unit remained outside the factory on jacks,  until the civil works were finish to receive the press in the factory.  The press was entered and erected with 2 hydraulic cranes while factory still producing. A complex project we handled for Arcelor in 2002, including delivery on site in the North of France.

Hereafter you see the move to/in site plant with hydraulic jacks and gantry cranes of the 120 T press, while factory still in production !
